This saves our students time and money, as one family can take music lessons on  multiple instruments often on the same day & time! Other studios offer multiple instruments, but we are the only one to offer music lessons in Scranton, PA for all 5 of the most popular instruments and all band & orchestra instruments all in one location.

Scranton Music Academy is Scranton's only community music school, dedicated
just to teaching music lessons. We do not sell or rent instruments. Our entire school is designed and professionally equipped to teach music lessons.

We have 26 music teachers, all with either university training or professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical
goals and helping you to achieve them. At SMA, we are confident that we have the right
teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our
teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you  the style
of music that you want to learn in your music lesson. Students are able to choose
instruction in pop, jazz, musical theater & classical music.
We also offer lessons for competition and audition preparation.
All teachers who work for SMA must pass a criminal background check. You may rest assured that you, or your children, are in the most competent hands while taking music lessons
at Scranton Music Academy.

2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Office Hours: 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday

All of our studios have large observation windows in every door so you can watch your child's lesson while you wait.

7. Fully stocked music lesson studios and lesson rooms.
Our music lesson rooms are stocked with everything you need for your music lessons, including
guitar amps, stereos, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, pianos and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have spent thousands of dollars on our studios to offer soundproofing and observation windows.
8. Free, all inclusive music recitals.
Every June and December, our students have the option of performing in our recitals. Students are not required to perform, but many choose to. Our recitals are optional, low-pressure and lots of fun. Parents, friends & family never have to pay admission for these recitals. Students or parents are never required to fund-raise for studio events.
9. Professional office staff six days a week to serve you.
The front desks at many music studios and music stores that teach lessons are staffed by the teacher/owner, or more commonly, an answering machine. We provide professional office staff who are available at the front desk and on the phone to assist our clients.

Due to its great location in Scranton, our school is convenient to all areas of Northeast PA and Lackawanna County. 11. Month to Month Lessons, No Long-Term Contracts.
SMA does not require you to sign a long-term contract for music lessons. Every student is here on a month-to-month basis.
